"Officina Martello" was founded in 1948. It specialized in producing tungsten-carbide hammers, known as Widia, to restore millstones. It was the first company in Italy to apply and promote tungsten carbide on tools for working marble and granite, such as drill bits, chisels, bush hammers, claw chisels, and more.
- In 1970, Officina Martello (by Luigi Martello) was acquired and managed by the GIORGI BROTHERS.
- In 1972, in collaboration with machinery manufacturers, the company developed milling cutters for bas-reliefs, engravings, moldings, and more, used on both hydraulic and CNC machines.
- Since 1975, the company has produced new, revolutionary drill bits suitable for both rotary and percussion drills.
This includes the universal BRYON drill bit, available in various sizes, the result of extensive experience, high-quality raw materials, and advanced technology.
- Since 2002, pantograph bits have been produced using innovative high-tech machinery, achieving top performance tools with polycrystalline diamond (PCD) tips for processing marble and granite.
- In 2006, the first version of the company website is launched, providing a new point of contact for customers and distributors.
- In December 2008, Officina Martello di GIORGI F.LLI s.r.l. also became an electrical workshop by installing a fully integrated photovoltaic system (45 kWp) to produce clean energy and reduce CO2 emissions, protecting the environment.
- In 2010, the second version of the company website is launched, continuing the development of its online presence.
- In 2020, the company celebrates 50 years under the Giorgi family’s ownership and management, which began in 1970. This anniversary marks a chapter in the history of Officina Martello, founded in 1948.
- In March 2023, Carluccio Giorgi, a figure in the company’s family history, passes away.
- In 2024, Virgilio Giorgi leaves the company. In the same year, Davide Giorgi, who joined the company as an employee in 2010, becomes co-owner alongside his father Gian Pietro Giorgi. This generational transition continues the family tradition of Officina Martello di GIORGI F.LLI s.r.l., supporting the continuity and development of the business.
- In 2024, Officina Martello di GIORGI F.LLI s.r.l. took a significant step towards environmental sustainability by obtaining the GoGreen Plus Certification from DHL Express. This recognition confirms the company's concrete commitment to reducing CO2 emissions through the use of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) in international shipments.
- The company also receives the DHL GoGreen Plus certificate 2025 for 2025, documenting its use of DHL’s lower-emission air transport service based on sustainable aviation fuel (SAF).
- In 2026, version 3.0 of the company website is launched, with a refreshed design and a mobile-friendly interface that adapts to smartphone, tablet and computer screens. French, Spanish, German and Brazilian Portuguese versions join the existing Italian and English versions, bringing the number of available languages to six.
